After two successful editions in 2017 and 2019, the Clinique romande de réadaptation (CRR) is organizing for the third time on Saturday the 28th of August 2021, a special day dedicated to the theme of the wheelchair user.

An event to raise awareness and inform

As the only centre specializing in this field in French-speaking part of Switzerland, the CRR wishes to actively contribute to a better understanding of the world of para- and tetraplegia. This day, which is open to all, is therefore intended to be a venue for meetings, information and awareness-raising. The public can thus, through testimonies, workshops, demonstrations and exhibitors' stands, gain a better understanding of this world of disability.

Testimonials and fashion show

This year, the theme is " Feeling good and well-being ", with the aim of showing that being disabled does not prevent you from feeling good, taking care of yourself or being active. Among the highlights of the day is the testimonial conference between 10am and 12pm in the multi-purpose hall. Christine Savioz, journalist at the Nouvelliste, will lead a round-table discussion with the participation of Aude Jardin and Jérôme Bagnoud, whose life and rehabilitation paths have been very different. At 3pm, a fashion show featuring wheelchair users and people " on their feet " is taking place, always in the spirit of demonstrating that taking care of oneself, making oneself look and feel " beautiful " is of course also possible in a situation of disability.

Demonstrations, initiations and visits

The public can get a better idea of the experience of wheelchair users by visiting the stands of exhibitors (associations and specialised suppliers), by discovering specific equipment or therapies such as kyusho (martial art) or therapy with a St. Bernard dog.
