One of the biggest health hackathons in Switzerland takes place from the 12th to the 14th of April 2019 at the Clinique romande de réadaptation (CRR).

In four editions, Arkathon, one of the most important health hackathons in Switzerland, has brought together numerous participants and several projects have developped into successful start-ups. The goal of this event is : to propose, in 48 hours, concrete digital solutions to health problems. Organised by the Foundation the Ark and Swiss Digital Health, Arkathon 2019 is back this year at the Clinique romande de réadaptation (Suva), from the 12th to the 14th of April 2019.

The 5th edition of Arkathon takes place in the heart of the  Clinique romande de réadaptation (Suva), on the Health Innovation Campus. In immersion throughout the entire weekend, the participants meet with health professionals as well as patients in order to develop innovative solutions to their health problems. Over 80 participants are expected

Several success stories have come out of Arkathon. Recently, a new product created by three local IT students, proposes an innovative mountain rescue training tool, based on virtual reality technology. Another success story is that of the start-up Eyeware which has just raised an incredible 1,9 mio for its eye tracking invention. These two solutions resulted from previous editions of Arkathon and now shine on the national and international scene !

Trade partners of Arkathon, the Clinique romande de réadaptation, the Groupement d’intervention médicale en montagne and the Hôpital du Valais have proposed three health problems, accessible on the platform Innoboard. The best solutions will be rewarded at the end of the weekend with over  20’000 CHF of prizes to be won !

Developpers, designers, health professionals and engineers can still enroll to this unmissable digital health event, Swiss chapter of the worldwide mouvement of Hacking Health.
