On Monday the 29th of October, at the 'Clinique romande de réadaptation (CRR)', the presentation of the book and exhibition « Aidants, aidés – Destins croisés » (Carers, cared - a destininy shared).

For 18 months, Nicole von Kaenel spoke with couples and families who have experienced a life-changing situation. How did they face the difficulties ? What resources were available to them ? Where did close relatives find support allowing them to assume their role? An un-judgemental ear helped them to free their words, in utmost respect. The photographer, Sarah Carp took, in their familiar surroundings those who accepted to tell their story, portraits of astounding psychological reality. These two authors produced a book where images and texts ingeneously illustrate sometimes serious and yet also joyful situations.

In addition to this masterpiece, an exhibition presenting photos and extract of text is accompanying the launch of the book in the French speaking part of Switzerland. This exhibition can be seen at the CRR from the 29th of October, and for two months running.
