Use of cookies

Status : July 2021

The present cookie policy describes the different types of cookies used on the crr-suva.ch website. Our data protection policy also applies.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a text file sent by the web server to your browser and stored on your computer's hard drive.

A distinction is made between two categories of cookies: session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, and permanent cookies, which remain stored (whether or not for a specific period of time) on the data medium, even after you close your browser. The majority of cookies used by the Clinique romande de réadaptation (CRR) website are session cookies. However, the website also uses permanent cookies to save your settings for your next visit to the site and to offer you information according to your interests.

A distinction is also made between proprietary cookies and third-party cookies: the former are generated by the website or domain operator, while the latter are sent by auxiliary persons or service providers. Third-party cookies are mainly used to enable the subsequent display of advertising offers tailored to the user's interests, either on the CRR website or on those of third parties (retargeting). Advertisements based on what interested you on the CRR website may then be displayed on third party websites.

The purpose of cookies

By allowing the use of cookies, you agree to the processing of your data by the CRR or by third parties for marketing purposes, for maintaining current and future customer relations and for other purposes explicitly mentioned at the time of data entry and/or clearly linked to the data communication process. In order to collect data on its use (access to individual pages, browser and hardware used, origin of users from other sites, etc.), the CRR website uses, among other things, the web analysis tool "Google Analytics" (including Universal Analytics) offered by Google. Google Analytics uses web beacons and "cookies" (hereinafter referred to as "cookies") to analyse your use of the website.

Web beacons are small image files that are placed on the website invisibly for the user and allow the collection of data for statistical purposes, e.g. to evaluate the number of visitors to the website. Web beacons are usually used in combination with cookies for statistical evaluations.

Cookie management

Rejecting cookies

You can set your computer to accept all cookies, to display a message before cookies are stored, or to reject all cookies or only third-party cookies. In addition, you can manually delete cookies at any time in your browser menu. If you deactivate cookies, you may not be able to use all the functions of the website.

You can prevent the collection of data about your use of the website (including your IP address) and its processing (in particular by Google) via cookies by downloading and installing the add-on offered at the following address : http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=fr

You can find more information on browser settings here:

You can set an "opt-out cookie" to prevent the future collection of data related to your use of the website. However, the opt-out cookie only works if the same browser is used at a later date, and only for the website in question; it is placed on your device. Deleting the cookies in your browser will also cause the deactivation cookie to disappear, and it will have to be reinstalled if necessary.
