One CEO for two Suva clinics

Mr Rossi, 54, takes up his post on the 1st of July 2022. This appointment is part of the organisational development of the Suva clinics. The aim is to establish joint strategic management and harmonise the structures. However, the two clinics remain independent and are led by a site management.

Gianni Roberto Rossi has been CEO of the Rehaklinik Bellikon (RKB) since July 2018 and is therefore very familiar with the challenges of the Suva clinics. Mr. Rossi has distinguished himself by his extensive network in the Swiss health sector and in particular in the field of rehabilitation. In addition to his professional and managerial qualities, his multilingualism (Italian, German, French) was also a determining factor in the choice. These skills allow him to build bridges across linguistic borders. While Gianni Roberto Rossi has distinguished himself through his market and competition-oriented management, his appointment also stands for continuity and stability.

A perceptive personality

The Suva is convinced that it has found in him a competent business economist and an experienced and far-sighted manager. "With a solid and extensive background in economics, many years of experience in the management of rehabilitation clinics and an energetic and pleasant personality, Gianni Roberto Rossi is the ideal person to successfully manage and develop the activities of the Suva clinics", says Daniel Roscher, member of the Suva Management Board.

Gianni Roberto Rossi holds an Executive Master in Business Administration from the University of Zurich and a Master in Innovation and Management in Public Administrations from the University of Tor Vergata in Rome, where he also defended his thesis and obtained his PhD in 2013. Gianni Roberto Rossi is married and has three children. He is looking forward to the new challenge: "With my entrepreneurial spirit and ethical values, I feel at home in the Suva clinics, which are highly regarded throughout Switzerland. My goal is to actively participate in the strategic development of the clinics in Sion and Bellikon and to strengthen their position. Together we can build a successful future.

A united approach for the Suva clinics

As of the 1st of July 2022, Gianni Roberto Rossi will be the CEO of the Suva clinics and will be in charge of some 1200 employees. The main aim is to make better use of the synergies between the clinics. However, they will remain independent and will be led by a site management.

The Suva clinics in Sion and Bellikon specialize in accident rehabilitation and occupational reintegration. They provide maximum benefits for insured companies and accident victims. The rehabilitation market is constantly changing, with the principle of "outpatient before inpatient" becoming increasingly important in the health sector. This development is of strategic significance for the Suva clinics, which also supports the corresponding new orientation and the rapid expansion of their range of services. This is reflected, for example, in the development of new services such as day hospital rehabilitation or other care services close to the workplace or home, especially for the reintegration of injured persons into the workforce.
