L’école valaisanne d’infirmières was created in 1944. 75 years later, the Haute Ecole de Santé of the HES-SO Valais-Wallis train these high level professionals.
Celebrating 75 years of training nurses in the Valais is a great opportunity to show the value of what a nursing carreer can bring, to talk about this profession in the present and in the future, to address it in its complex, exciting and fascinating context, against a background of demographic and technological challenges, marked by an announced shortage in the field of health care.
To mark this occasion, the Haute Ecole de Santé of the HES-SO Valais-Wallis has produced a documentary film directed by Pierre-Armand Dussex that gives a voice to health professionals in the Valais about this profession, made of passion, rigour and empathy. They testify to their work, their daily lives, their emotions, often strong, felt while in contact with patients and theri families. A profession that increasingly relies on research and on-going training in order to be prepared for future challenges. Fascinating!
